About Us

Dating back to 1873, the Cheatham County School District has a long and rich history of providing an outstanding academic experience for our students.

Cheatham County, home to about 41,000 residents, is located in Middle Tennessee. It is nestled between Interstates 24 and 40 and only minutes from Nashville and Clarksville.

With 14 schools, including six elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools, one specialty school and one virtual academy, and about 5,610 students and 868 employees, we are creating opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society.
