United Way's The Family Collective

In 2021, the Cheatham County School District started a new partnership with the United Way of Greater Nashville.

 

As a result of this partnership, Carol Henegar has joined our team as a family coach and Katelyn Binkley is a family engagement specialist through the United Way’s The Family Collective initiative.

 

As the family coach, Henegar is responsible for assessing families in need of resources to prevent homelessness, help families set goals to finish their education, obtain employment, housing and transportation needs and provide other resources that meet the individual needs of the family.

As the family engagement specialist, Binkley is pairing families with community resources to help achieve their goals, creating events targeted at helping at-risk families meet their needs and providing training to families to aide in developmental support.
