New CMS principal named

The Cheatham County School District is excited to announce that Pleasant View Elementary School principal Jason Pierschbacher will serve as the new Cheatham Middle School principal beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

Pierschbacher, who has served as the PVES principal since 2019, will replace Linda Owen at CMS. Owen will begin serving as the new principal at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy next school year.

Pierschbacher earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Austin Peay State University.

He served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of sergeant, before joining the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in 2008. While with the CMCSS, he taught for five years at Kenwood Middle School (two years of eighth-grade Social Studies and three years of eighth-grade math) and two years at Rossview Middle School (eighth-grade math).

He served as the assistant principal at Rossview Middle School for two and a half years before being named the assistant principal at Kenwood High School, a position he held for two years before being named the PVES principal.

“It is an honor to stay in Cheatham County and serve as the principal at Cheatham Middle School. Pleasant View Elementary School has provided me with the opportunity to grow and build my experience as a leader,” he said.

Pierschbacher will begin his new position at CMS on July 1. A search for his replacement at PVES is currently underway.
