Green named new special education supervisor

Sarah Green has accepted the position of special education supervisor for the Cheatham County School District.

Green will replace Mike Parsley, who is stepping down to return to the classroom at Pegram Elementary School.

Green has been a special populations teacher with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System since 2010, most recently working at Pisgah Elementary School in Clarksville.

A native of Wisconsin, Green earned both her bachelor’s degree in special education and master’s degree in curriculum and instruction (minor in special education) from Austin Peay State University.

She is scheduled to earn her doctorate degree in leadership and professional practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in December 2020.

Green, and her husband, Tim, have four adult children: Zachery, Joshua, Nathan and Cathlin.

"I am so honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve Cheatham County as the special education supervisor. I look forward to working with the faculty and families to ensure every student has the tools they need to be their personal best,” she said.
