Strategic Plan

The Cheatham County School District is committed to being a learning community where all students reach their full potential.

To accomplish this, the Cheatham County School Board approved a five-year plan in February 2018 to shape the district’s work from 2018-2023. In July 2022, the School Board approved an updated five-year plan to shape the district's work from 2023-2027.

During each of the five years, the district will initiate action steps to achieve its goals.

The plan was developed with feedback from Director of Schools Dr. Cathy Beck’s entry into the district, along with community and staff observations.

In the plan, six priority areas were identified: Academic Excellence, Technology, Facilities, Partnerships/Community Engagement, Human Capital and Sustainability.

The plan is used to guide the district in decision-making at both the school and district level. Additionally, it helps drive budget development and resource allocation, helps evaluate current programs for effectiveness, and selects and implements new programs and initiatives that align with our goals and desired outcomes.

At the heart of the plan is our mission in which we will create opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society.
Annual Plan

In accordance with state law, school districts in the State of Tennessee are required to submit a School Improvement Plan each year. The plan helps guide and improve the educational process in the Cheatham County School District. The 2023-2024 plan can be viewed here:
