Community Service Opportunities

Community service is a way to give back to your community, become involved and learn more about potential careers. It is also a great way to meet new people and learn about your community.

Below you will find a list of Cheatham County businesses and organizations in which high school students can perform community service hours:

Cheatham County Animal Control

Description: Volunteers are needed at the Cheatham County Animal Control in Pegram to help with caring for the animals and maintaining the facility. This is a great way to gain experience working with animals and complete any required community service hours.

The Ark/Noah's Closet

Description: The Ark/ Noah's Closet: Receive and help sort donation in donation area, tag clothes and help merchandise them. Help customers as needed. Sort items upstairs by season and style. Food Pantry: Help take in and weight and document donated food, sort and stock shelves and organize the back stock of pantry items.

Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition

Description: Volunteers can earn hours by assisting the Coalition in the setup and running of community events. They also have the opportunity to work our resource table at events and connect with their community. Volunteers can also work in the Coalition office to help with the creation of resources, inventory upkeep, and more.
