Early Access to Kindergarten

Will your child miss the cutoff of Aug. 15, 2023, to attend kindergarten next school year?

If so and they turn 5 years old by Sept. 30, 2023, they have an opportunity to qualify for early access to enter kindergarten.

All children must go through an application process in order to be identified as highly-advanced for early access. This equates to grade acceleration or skipping a grade.

Students who might qualify for early access need to be tested and additional testing information is provided when school is back in session. 

The Cheatham County School District is accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year through May 1, 2023.
