As you might recall, the Cheatham County School District joined forces with the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce to launch a “Shop Local Shop Cheatham” campaign in 2018.
The goal of the “Shop Local Shop Cheatham” campaign is to encourage the community to be aware of the choice to shop locally, and how that choice positively affects the economic well-being of our county.
A portion of every sales tax dollar spent in the county goes toward education.
We’re excited to report that sales tax collections are significantly up in the county.
Beginning this month and throughout the year, we will issue a monthly challenge to the community.
In August, we are asking our stakeholders to commit to buying their groceries locally.
We are excited about this new challenge, and we thank you for supporting the school district!
