Harpeth High School and Cheatham County Central High School will both have new volleyball coaches this year.
Kaylee Ginnings has been named the head coach at HHS, while Kelly Lewis will take over the reins at CCCHS.
Ginnings, a 2013 graduate of HHS, was a three-sport star for the Lady Indians, playing volleyball, softball and basketball. She was named the district MVP in volleyball her senior season in 2012. She played volleyball at Bethel University, where she graduated from in 2018.
In 2016, she was named first-team All-SSAC, led the NAIA in assists/set and broke two single-season records for Bethel’s volleyball team. Additionally, she was a student assistant for the varsity and junior varsity volleyball programs at Bethel.
She has served as a head coach for two C2 Volleyball Club teams in Nashville since 2018.
Ginnings replaces Alesia Beshears, who guided the Lady Indians to a third-place finish in the Class A state tournament in 2019.
Lewis, a Health Science teacher at CCCHS, has been an assistant volleyball coach for the past two years.
She replaces Aaron Nicholson, who was recently named the school’s head boys basketball coach.
Lewis is a graduate of CCCHS and played volleyball, basketball and softball for the Lady Cubs.
