District to be closed Nov. 23-27

In an effort to further disinfect our school buildings amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cheatham County School District will be closed on Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24.

This means there will be no school for both students and staff members on these days.

The district will use its stockpile days for this closure. After using these stockpile days, the district will have six remaining days this year.

The district is already closed on Wednesday, Nov. 25, Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving.

The district’s daycare program will be open on Monday, Nov. 23, Tuesday, Nov. 24 and Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27.

Athletic games and practices can be held during this closure (except at Sycamore High School and Sycamore Middle School when they can resume on Tuesday, Nov. 24 due to COVID-19 precautions).

Additionally, due to the closure of Sycamore High School and Sycamore Middle School because of COVID-19 precautions, the district will have a meal distribution for the north cluster on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Sycamore High School.

Students will be provided five days of meals (both breakfast and lunch). Please remember all meals are free to children ages 0-18 this year. The meals can be picked up in the back of the building (please follow the signs for directions).
