Feb. 22 is a remote learning day

Due to icy road conditions on many secondary roads in Cheatham County, Monday, Feb. 22 will be a remote learning day for the Cheatham County School District.

As we communicated last week, we have now used all of our stockpile/inclement weather days of the 2020-2021 school year.

ALL students will learn remotely on Monday by working on assignments and activities through our online learning platforms and/or directed by the teacher. Students should log in and be ready to learn at 7:45 a.m. Our teachers and schools will further communicate the expectations with their students.

Our daycares will operate on the snow schedule on Monday and the hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our intention is to return to school in our buildings on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

We want to remind our families that our high schools (grades 9-12) will return to the traditional learning schedule (in-person learning five days a week) when we return. Our elementary and middle schools will continue on the traditional learning schedule. Students who opted for the virtual learning schedule will remain all-virtual.

The District 9-AA basketball tournament games will be played on Monday.
