Emma Baker, Valedictorian
Emma Baker is the valedictorian of the Cheatham County Central High School Class of 2021.
During her time at CCCHS, Baker was a cheerleader all four years, placed second in the HOSA state competition and took several dual enrollment classes.
Her favorite memory about high school was the Lip Syncs program her freshman year. She said it was so fun to be able to get together and create a dance to perform in front of the school.
She plans to attend Austin Peay State University and pursue a career in nursing. She would like to focus on labor and delivery. After earning her bachelor’s degree and working in a hospital, she hopes to then obtain her master’s degree.
Niki Hendrix, Salutatorian
Niki Hendrix is the salutatorian of the Cheatham County Central High School Class of 2021.
During her time at CCCHS, Hendrix was a member of the Beta Club and HOSA and served as the wrestling manager. She also volunteered at Cheatham County Animal Shelter and coached a U8 soccer team.
Her top achievements are being named a Questbridge College Prep Scholar, being accepted to The Ohio State University, earning 37 college credit hours and earning an internship at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, which was canceled due to COVID-19.
Hendrix plans to attend Union University. She was awarded a merit scholarship and participated in the school’s Scholars of Excellence scholarship competition. She will major in nursing with a minor in either Spanish or special education.
Ultimately, she would like to become a pediatric trauma surgeon. For medical school, her dream programs are Vanderbilt University, University of Cincinnati or The Ohio State University.
