The Cheatham County School District has named Rachel Garrison as the academic specialist at Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School.
Garrison just completed her sixth year of teaching. Most recently, she taught at Harpeth Middle School.
A 2006 graduate of Harpeth High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Austin Peay State University in 2011 and a master’s degree in K-6 instructional practices from Lipscomb University in 2015. She recently received her Ed. S. in accountability and instructional leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
She was a member of the district’s Aspiring Administrators Academy in 2020.
“I am so excited that I have the opportunity to continue working within a great community as Pegram’s academic specialist. I am looking forward to building relationships and collaborating with Pegram teachers, staff, students and parents,” she said.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two children, husband, family and friends.
