The Cheatham County School District has named Barb Jacobson as the academic specialist at Cheatham Middle School.
Jacobson just completed six years of teaching in Marysville, California.
She received an associate degree in Liberal Studies from Cosumnes River College as well as two bachelor’s degrees from California State University Sacramento in Liberal Studies and History. In 2019, she earned a master’s degree from National University in Advanced Teaching Practices with a concentration in Literary Assessments.
“I am so eager to begin working with the teachers at Cheatham Middle School. The possibilities are endless when we work together toward a common goal," she said.
In her free time, she participates in Spartan races, CrossFit, paddle boarding, hiking, dog training and traveling. She also has a black belt in Taekwondo.
