ACESA welcomes new academic specialist

The Cheatham County School District has named Tabitha Tomeo as the academic specialist at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy.

Tomeo just completed her tenth year of teaching. She has taught grades Pre-K through third grade and has spent the past six years as an Ashland City Wildcat.

She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Special Education K-12 and a dual license in Elementary Education K-6.  She recently received her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Carson-Newman University.

She was a member of the district’s Aspiring Administrators Academy in 2021.

"Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy has so much to offer our students and community. The teachers and staff are among the best, and I am excited to continue helping grow and nurture the culture we have built within our school."

Outside of work, Tomeo enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves watching movies, reading and crafting.
