COVID-19 second semester update

As the second semester of the 2021-2022 school year begins this week, we want our families to know that we will continue to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance regarding COVID-19.

The CDC issued the following updated recommendations on Dec. 27, which can be found here.

If your child has been exposed to COVID-19, tested positive for COVID-19, or someone in the household has tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you contact your school nurse immediately so we can work with the Department of Health in their contact tracing.

Additionally, to help slow the spread of many winter illnesses, please keep your child home when they are sick.

We also ask families to take extra time with your child to discuss the importance of proper and routine hand washing and personal hygiene. These simple activities will help lessen the spread of illness throughout families, the school district and the community at large.

As always, thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
