Due to severe staffing challenges related to COVID-19 and other illnesses, the Cheatham County School District will be closed Thursday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan 21.
We are unable to safely staff our schools due to a less than 30 percent substitute fill rate.
As of now, our daycares will operate on the snow schedule from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
If there is winter weather overnight, a decision will be made by 5 a.m. on Thursday to determine if our daycare program will have any changes to its schedule and if extra-curricular activities or athletic events will be canceled.
The Central Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday as long as the weather permits.
We hope this time will allow our staff and students to rest and return healthy to learn on Monday, Jan. 24.
