CMS welcomes new assistant principal

The Cheatham County School District has named Susie Kephart as the new assistant principal at Cheatham Middle School.

Kephart will replace Sarah Spain, who was recently named the principal at Pegram Elementary School Fine Arts Magnet School.

Kephart has been with the Cheatham County School District since August 2012. She has served as the Dean of Students at CMS since 2018.

Before joining the CMS staff, she was a wellness and physical education teacher and softball and soccer coach at Cheatham County Central High School.

Kephart, a 2008 graduate of Sycamore High School, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from Tennessee State University in May 2012 and her Masters of Art in Educational Leadership Studies from Austin Peay State University in December 2017.

“I love my Cheatham Middle School family and am excited to continue to serve our students, teachers and families as assistant principal,” she said.
