The Cheatham County School District has named Jennifer Winters as the academic specialist at West Cheatham Elementary School.
Winters graduated from Sycamore High School in 2005 and earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Elementary Education K-6 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2009. She completed her master’s degree in Teacher Education in 2010, and she is in the process of obtaining her Special Education endorsement as well.
She taught second grade for one year and kindergarten for four years at Karns Elementary School in Knoxville before moving back home to Cheatham County, where she has taught fifth grade Sycamore Middle for the last seven years.
In her free time, she enjoys crafting, watching movies and spending time with her husband and two sons.
“While I will miss my SMS family and students, I am so excited to become a part of the West Cheatham family. I look forward to building relationships, collaborating with teachers and students, and helping WCES continue to be amazing,” Winters said.
