The Cheatham County School District has named Laura Muncy as its new daycare supervisor.
Muncy has worked in childcare since 1999 and has been with the district for four and a half years. She served as the daycare director at Kingston Springs Elementary School for one and a half years and in the same position at East Cheatham Elementary School for three years.
She and her husband have three grown children, two grandchildren and a third grandchild on the way.
“I am so excited to be working in this new role. I love working with children. Children are my passion and are the reason I do what I do,” she said.
With the recent retirement of Emily Staggs, the district has divided up her previous Pre-K and Cheatham Achievers duties.
Judy Bell, the district’s federal programs supervisor, will now oversee the Pre-K program.
Nicole Galbreth, the assistant principal at Pleasant View Elementary School, will oversee Cheatham Achievers, the after-school program at our three middle schools.
