HHS welcomes new academic specialist

The Cheatham County School District has named Dr. Charles Williams as the new academic specialist at Harpeth High School.

Williams worked at Dickson County High School for the last three years and also worked 11 years for Metro Nashville Public Schools as a dual-certified math and special education teacher.

While with MNPS, he earned two master’s degrees, one from Cumberland University and the other from Belmont University. He continued his education and earned a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2017.

Williams and his wife, Natalie, have been married since 2009.

Beyond serving the community in numerous ways, he enjoys gardening, remodeling and the outdoors.

“My favorite quote is from W. Edwards Deeming, ‘Without data, you're just another person with an opinion,’” he said.
