KSES welcomes new principal

The Cheatham County School District has named Andrea Bledsoe as the new principal at Kingston Springs Elementary School.

Bledsoe replaces Dr. Lucas Winstead, who has accepted a position outside of the district.

Bledsoe has been in an administrative role in Dickson County for the past six years.

“It has been such an honor and privilege to serve in Dickson County as an assistant principal and a principal for the last six years. I am thankful for the experience and the support that Dickson County gave me,” she said.

Bledsoe added: “I am looking forward to coming back and serving the community and schools that my children attended and where I live. I am excited about working with the teachers, students, and parents of Kingston Springs and being part of creating opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society.”

Prior to her time in Dickson County, she taught at Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School and Kingston Springs Elementary School and she was an academic specialist at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy.

Bledsoe graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in arts in education in 2008. She has an Ed.S in Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

She lives in Pegram with her husband, Keith. They have four children, who all graduated from Harpeth High School.
