The Cheatham County School District is proud to recognize 11 educators with our Green Apple Award!
This award is part of our teacher induction program, which supports teachers new to the professional or new to the district.
Those recognized with the Green Apple Award are in their first to third year of teaching, have done outstanding work with their students and have been a vital part of their school culture.
They will be honored during a special program in May 2024.

• Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School: Baylee Gawrys

• Cheatham Middle School: Mary Ashton McClellan
• Harpeth Middle School: Kayla Lowen
• Sycamore Middle School: Tyler Turpin
• Cheatham County Central High School: Lauren Shirley
• Harpeth High School: Clark Sewell
• Sycamore High School: Tyler Binkley
West Cheatham Elementary School and Riverside Academy do not have a recipient this year.
