CCCHS selects 2024 commencement speaker

Ellie Pardue was chosen by her teachers and peers at Cheatham County Central High School to be this year’s commencement speaker.

During her time at CCCHS, Pardue was involved in Student Council as a grade-level representative and most recently, as the student body vice-president, participated with Cheatham County Unified as a Cub Buddy and Special Olympics partner, served as the Cubs for Christ president, a Civics Bee participant, served as the Hospitality Club and JAG-TN NCA secretary, and played both basketball and volleyball, as well as one year of track.

She earned District 9-AA season and tournament honors in both basketball and volleyball and medaled at the TSSAA state track meet in the 800-meter event in her freshman year.

Pardue received many academic awards during her time at CCCHS and was selected as the Principal’s Award recipient this year.

She will graduate summa cum laude with 21 college credit hours from dual enrollment and Austin Peay State University. She maintained a 4.0 throughout high school, earning several academic scholarships. 

Pardue plans to continue her education at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville as a Volunteer Scholar. Her goal is to get a degree in hospitality & tourism administration, minoring in event management and interior design.
