Joseph McCoy has been selected as the Class of 2024 commencement speaker at Harpeth High School.
During his time at HHS, McCoy served as class president his junior year and was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes for several years.
A summa cum laude graduate, he participated in Youth in Government his senior year and was awarded Outstanding Statesperson at the state conference. He was also named the “Most Likely to Brighten Your Day” senior superlative.
McCoy was heavily involved in the Impact 615 Bible study group with his friends.
He plans to attend Nashville State Community College and is undecided about his major but will pursue the general studies program. He would like to do something in the ministry field such as working as a youth pastor.
McCoy hopes his future profession involves him pouring into students and sharing the love of Jesus to them. He’s also very passionate about the drums and would like to make something out of that as well in the future.
The HHS Class of 2024 will graduate on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. on the HHS football field.
