Bledsoe takes on new district role

The Cheatham County School District has named Andrea Bledsoe as its new Behavior Coordinator

Bledsoe is currently the principal at Kingston Springs Elementary School – a position she has held since 2023.

In her new role, she will lead and support the implementation of school-wide behavioral interventions and systems, including PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), to improve student behavior and create a positive learning environment. She will work hands-on with both teachers and students to address behavior in the academic learning environment.

During her career, Bledsoe has taught at Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School and Kingston Springs Elementary School and was an academic specialist at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy. She also served as an assistant principal and principal in Dickson County.

She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education from Austin Peay State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

“I am incredibly excited and honored to serve the district in my new role as Behavior Coordinator. I look forward to working collaboratively with our dedicated staff, students and families to support positive behavior, promote growth and foster a safe and respectful learning environment for all,” she said.

The district will begin the process to hire Bledsoe’s replacement at KSES.
