Sycamore High School has named Camryn Denney Larsen as its new head girls basketball coach.
Larsen, a fifth-eighth grade health teacher at Sycamore Middle School, is a 2018 graduate of SHS, where she was a standout player for four seasons.
As a Lady War Eagle, she was a three-time All-District and one-time All-Region player. She was also a member of the 1,000 Point Club.
Larsen attended Austin Peay State University, where she obtained a degree in K-12 Teaching Physical Education and Health.
She worked as an assistant coach under Cody King at SHS from 2021-2023. She also served as an assistant coach under Connie Weeks at SMS the past two seasons.
“I’m honored to accept the position of head coach for the girls basketball team at my alma mater. It’s a privilege to return to the place that helped shape my journey, and I look forward to guiding and mentoring the next generation of student-athletes. I am grateful for the opportunity and ready for the season ahead,” she said.
