HHS names student graduation speaker

Samuel Lawless has been selected by the Class of 2025 as the commencement speaker for Harpeth High School.

During his time at HHS, Lawless was involved in student government and has served as the vice president of his class for all four years. He has also been a part of the HHS Pep Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, HHS Theater and the HHS Band of Blue

He has played on the school’s boys soccer team all four years, and the team is on track to reach the TSSAA state tournament for the fourth year in a row.

He will be graduating summa cum laude with 12 credit hours from Nashville State Community College.  He maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout high school, earning several educational scholarships.

Lawless plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University to major in psychology and minor in theatre. He will obtain his master’s degree in psychology to become a therapist.

The HHS graduation is Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. on the school’s football field.
