The Cheatham County School District has named Michel Morrow as the new assistant principal at Harpeth Middle School.
Morrow has served as the school’s academic specialist since 2021.
Morrow has worked in the education field for 27 years. Before joining the Cheatham County School District four years ago, she taught kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade and fifth grade. She has taught in three districts in Tennessee and one in Virginia.
She received a bachelor's degree in language arts and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. In 2020, she earned her Ed.S. in administration and supervision from Union University.
"I am thrilled to step into the role of assistant principal at Harpeth Middle School. My time here as the academic specialist has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m honored to continue serving our amazing school community in this new capacity. HMS holds a special place in my heart, and I’m excited for all the great things we’ll achieve together,” she said.
Morrow is replacing Layne Cooper, who was recently named the principal at East Cheatham Elementary School.
