The Cheatham County School District has named Celeste Buchanan as the academic specialist at Harpeth Middle School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
Buchanan is currently an instructional coach at both William James Middle School in White Bluff and Dickson Middle School in Dickson. She previously served as a seventh-grade science teacher at Dickson Middle School before joining the Williams James staff this past year in her split coaching role.
Buchanan, a 2014 graduate of Cheatham County Central High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman University and her master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee State University.
Outside of work, she is an avid reader, cat lover, and enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
"I feel extremely blessed to be moving into this new chapter of my career. I am looking forward to growing and learning together with all the wonderful educators at HMS and in Cheatham County,” she said.
