The Cheatham County School District, together with the greater community, is creating opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society. We will provide, in an inclusive environment, an exemplary educational program complete with multiple pathways for post-secondary success for all students.
The Cheatham County School District has joined forces with the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce to launch a new “Shop Local” campaign.
Director of Schools Dr. Cathy Beck announced the program at the Cheatham County Commission meeting on Monday, Sept. 17.
“The goal of the ‘Shop Local Shop Cheatham’ campaign is to encourage the community to be aware of the choice to shop locally, and how that choice positively affects the economic well-being of our county,” Beck said.
Beck said many in the community have been asking how they can support the school district.
“One simple way is to shop locally as a portion of every sales tax dollar spent in Cheatham County goes toward education,” Beck said. “By increasing our local sales tax revenue, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of our students and teachers.”
