Federal Programs

Parent Involvement Coordinator Claudette Fizer at a Parent Engagement Night at East Cheatham Elementary School.

The Federal Programs Department administers federal projects and grants for Title I, II, III and IV by adhering to applicable laws, making fiscally responsible decisions, and maintaining equitable and adequate programs for the Cheatham County School District.

Title IA provides economically disadvantaged children opportunities to receive a fair, equitable and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps. Homeless and foster care students are included in the Title IA supports.

Our five Title 1 schools are Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy, East Cheatham Elementary School, West Cheatham Elementary School, Cheatham Middle School and Cheatham County Central High School.

Title IIA provides professional development for certified staff members to improve instruction which improves academics.

Title IIIA provides resources for English Learners (EL) students that is above and beyond what the district provides.

Title IVA provides resources for student support and enrichment in order to improve students’ academic achievement.
