Public Forum

The Cheatham County School Board encourages and welcomes the Cheatham County community to participate in the public forum during the monthly board meetings.

To comply with new board policies and a new state law, individuals may only comment on issues that are on the current board agenda.

Individuals will need to complete a form and submit it to the board secretary no less than three (3) business days prior to the board meeting in order to speak during the public forum. Delegations must also select only one individual to speak on their behalf unless otherwise determined by the board.

If there is an item that an individual would like to see on the board agenda, they can submit a form and request that the item be placed on the agenda. Individuals must submit the request to the Director of Schools office seven (7) business days before the meeting. We will then determine if the board meeting or workshop would be the best place to add the item.

The board meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Board Annex, 104 Elizabeth St. in Ashland City.

The board agendas are posted seven days before the meeting and are available on our website.
